Luke Sallaz

Visual Artist

I am influenced by the spiritual world and the meanings of symbols. The physical matter is just a manifestation of the energies.

I developed a painting technique in which it is possible to create, and then expose, more than one image on the same canvas by changing the incidental light. I use white light, ultraviolet light and colored light to create multiple images and movements on the painted canvas to create an immersive and interactive experience.

About

Luke Sallaz is a self-taught artist who developed a unique painting technique called Alluchemia (a neologism for the alchemy of light) that mixes matte and fluorescent paints, resulting in paintings that present one image in white light and another in ultraviolet light.

He started painting in early 2019 and soon caught the attention of art connoisseurs around him. In the same year, he participated in the exhibition that took place at the event "Chá Cultural" at Unesp in Jaboticabal, and made several exhibitions wherever he went.

As all art moves people's energy, and the environment where it is exposed, his art does not go unnoticed. The change from white light to ultraviolet light reveals another image, taking the connoisseur out of the obvious, and leading him to see beyond.
