DESCRIPTION: 

While organizing my things, I found some business cards I had handmade in Italy, and then I started reflecting on what art is made of if not the artist's life, and what becomes of the artist today if not a brand. However, art should still speak louder, even if we don't see it at first.

In white light, it's possible to see a growing emptiness taking over the canvas like a living organism that gradually erases the Luke Sallaz brand being massively reproduced behind it. It's as if the mass of the advertising creates a void in the artist and in their art.

In black light, we see the lamp that symbolizes the human being, in this case, the art itself, and within it a real human heart, a reference to the artist's humanity and showing that, as art, it is alive!

The signature on the painting is a conflict of identity. Luke Sallaz disappears and the artist's real name (Luiz Salazar) is written, and then the art itself goes there and signs, thus evidencing that art speaks louder than the artist's identities.
