This artwork wasn't created by me, but by my brother Ednelson Salazar. I've adopted it as my symbol because it embodies the philosophy behind my art.

My first works emerged from commissions that I consider co-creations, as they don't originate solely from me.

For example, I suggested this one to my brother when he was looking for a fun and profitable activity, and I said, "Why not paint pictures using a technique involving black light?" So I suggested the lamp, and he painted it.

However, life led him to sports. Today he's a basketball coach in my city, and I ended up incorporating this symbol because the lamp is synonymous with how we create our own reality through our point of view and through light.

Light, which is clarity in everything we do, is also a quantum element that shows the reality around us, allows life, allows the formation of images—in short, it's basically how everything exists, including how God begins creation. However, the lamp is a device created by man, just as man is a being created by God, and to fulfill his purpose he needs energy—in our case, the energy that comes from God, and in the case of lamps, the energy that comes from electricity.

It is in itself a quantum device because it involves phenomena involving electrons that transform into light (vibration frequencies), which in turn activate reactions in the paints that reflect the light of the colors we see.

This work also elucidates the phenomenon of metamerism, which is the basis of all my art.

As Bruce Lee once said: "It's like a finger pointing at the moon, don't focus on the finger, or you'll miss all the celestial glory." If you are not religious, or do not believe in God or his creation, understand only what this work involves. This is its purpose.
