Some time ago I did some tests on what would be the best way to light the canvases I paint, and I came to the conclusion that the ideal would be for the canvases to be concave. In this way, the light from the edges would evenly illuminate the center.

When I was working at the FB Inox factory, precisely making steel domes, I had the intuition to paint on one of the pieces I was making. I asked them for one and they gave me a perfect one with 30cm in diameter to install the lights and then prove my theory.

Some time before I had found a watch in the trash that still worked for a while, when it stopped I kept the glass and its frame, and as fate would have it, it fit perfectly in the stainless steel piece.

As the painting was inevitably themed around the factory where I was working at the time, I thought of doing something related to manual work, as one job is born from another, just as one family is born from another, and lessons are passed down from generation to generation. .

Thus was born the work family. And to crown the company founder who had been dead for five years, I made his face appear when the painting is lit by black light.

In addition to all this history, I didn't know that the company was celebrating its 25th anniversary that year, and by coincidence once again it happened that the painting was ready the week of the party, and so I presented it to the current owner who is the son of the company's founder.
