DESCRIPTION:

This work of art is the result of Bible studies I did at the Seventh-day Adventist church with my friend Nicola Plamadeala. It is an image of what would be the continuation of the verse of Matthew 17:27 in which Jesus tells Peter to catch a fish and that inside the fish there would be a coin that would be used to pay taxes for Peter and Jesus.

In addition, it also symbolizes the fisherman's work and trust in God's providence in providing the fish.

The name of the work elucidates the verse in the sense that it is by faith that we see the miracle of Jesus through Peter completed, because, in the Bible, it is not written that what Jesus asked of Peter happened, but, through faith, which is the realization of what is not seen, we believe that it happened that Pedro caught that fish with a coin inside.
